Steps for creating a blog-Video summary

I watched a YouTube video on how to make a blog. The video is called Blogger Tutorial - How to Start Blogging with Blogger. There are three easy steps that are mentioned in the video. First you must go to the webpage and create a new profile. Click create new blog, name it, and select a URL. Choose a template that you like, and post whatever you would like onto your blog. Photos can be added, updates may be made, and you can create your blog the way you want it.

The Do's and Don'ts for a blog

Here are the Do's and Don'ts for a blog. I found two webpage articles explaining what are and what are not good ideas to put in your blog. On the page 10 Things NOT to Put in Your Blog, it lists some things that you should never put in your blog. I pulled this list straight from the webpage:
  • 1. Your full name.
  • 2. Your kids, friends or family member’s full names.
  • 3. Where you work.
  • 4. Where you live.
  • 5. Telephone or cell number.
  • 6. Personal email address.
  • 7. Where you will be and when you will be there.
  • 8. Pictures of where you live or work that include identifiable information.
  • 9. Pictures of your car that show the license plate number.
  • 10. Travel Itinerary.
These are just some things in order to stay safe on the internet. It is always important to be aware of what you are putting online. It is important for everyone of all ages.

Here are eight ideas of what you can put in your blog found on the webpage How To Start a Blog For Beginers-What To Put On Your Blog Page:
  • 1. Title
  • 2. Author Profile
  • 3. Author Photo
  • 4. Blog introduction
  • 5. Categories and Table of contents
  • 6. Links
  • 7. Blog posts blog content
  • 8. Copyright message
Some of these things are not necessary to put on your blog, but they are just a few ideas to get you started. It is always important to give credit to your sources and links are very helpful. I would suggest doing a title and an introduction to each blog so that the reader knows what to expect to find on your blog.
